BAFTA ZVEREJNILA OČAKÁVANÉ NOMINÁCIE ZA ROK 2021

Keďže Zlaté Glóbusy prebehli v januári bez väčšej pozornosti filmového sveta, o to viac očí sa teraz upiera nielen na blížiace sa Oscary, ale aj na nominácie Britskej filmovej a televíznej akadémie (BAFTA). Tá očakávané nominácie už oznámila a nevyhla sa niekoľkým prekvapeniam. Mnohí totiž predpokladali, že najviac miesta sa naprieč kategóriami ujde aktuálnej bondovke No Time to Die/Nie je čas zomrieť, ktorá sa stala historicky najúspešnejším dielom ságy.

Niektorí dokonca odvážne predpovedali, že práve bondovka bude na vedúcej pozícii s najväčším množstvom nominácií. Tieto tipy sa však nepotvrdili – najviac možností vyhrať má epické sci-fi Denisa Villeneuvea Duna s 11 nomináciami. Hneď za ním nasleduje The Power of the Dog/Sila psa s ôsmimi, Belfast so šiestimi a v piatich kategóriách môže prekvapiť práve spomínaná bondovka. Rovnaké šance piatich nominácií má aj novinka Paula Thomasa Andersona Licorice Pizza a West Side Story Stevena Spielberga.

Opäť raz je prekvapením absencia Kristen Stewartovej ako Najlepšej herečky v hlavnej úlohe biografie o princeznej Diane Spencer.

Najhorúcejším kandidátom v mužskej sekcii ostáva Benedict Cumberbatch, o to viac, že v nomináciách prekvapivo chýba Denzel Washington za svoj výkon v The Tragedy of Macbeth. Mená víťazov sa dozvieme na gala, ktoré sa bude konať za prítomností publika v Londýne 13. marca.
